Dr. Martin Luther king Jr. was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African American civil rights movement. This man was a gift from God and a blessing to our nation. He demolished many racial barriers. He had a dream, and his dream primarily pushed the idea of unity in what was a racist nation. From marches to speeches he did everything he could to make sure a change would come to pass.
AND IT DID!
Now when we walk down the streets it doesn't shake us when we see a biracial couple particularly white and black, in fact it's a common thing. As well as when you walk up to a group of friends now there is a little bit of every race!
Yes we have acted on Martins dream but there is still a lot of work to do, racism is still very real but the path that we're on can only lead to the possibilities of complete change.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said it best:
"And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:
Free at last! Free at last!
Thank God Almighty, we are free at last"
